All floors are wheelchair accessible via a lift. There are accessible toilets on the first and lower ground floors. The are gender neutral toilets on every floor, all toilets in the building are gender-neutral. On-site parking is restricted to permit-holders only. There are adjustable-height desks. There is are quiet spaces. (But being a library, the whole place is pretty quiet anyway)

Remote electronic access to many of the library's resources can be found either through eresources@cambridge or via the Scan & Deliver service.

Library users fitted with pacemakers should be aware that the library uses a book security system which generates electromagnetic fields.

Lighting is fluorescent. There are windows except on the lower ground floor.
